RRS Builds Siemens Energy’s Next-Generation Digital Power Plant Experience

Siemens Energy partnered with Red Rocket Studios to bring its next-generation digital power-plant solutions to life. Through a multi-phase engagement, we partnered with Siemens Energy’s engineering and product teams to explain, visualize, and market two of their most advanced technologies: Omnivise and iSERA. Omnivise is a digital operations suite that helps power plants boost performance, efficiency, and autonomy. iSERA is a modern actuator that replaces traditional, high-risk EHC systems with a safer, more efficient option. Our job was to turn these complex solutions into engaging visual stories, interactive experiences, and sales tools for trade shows, presentations, and digital channels. This partnership meant balancing engineering accuracy, creative storytelling, and real-world production, including on-site filming and advanced 3D modeling.

The Challenge

Siemens Energy faced a complex communication challenge: how to clearly and credibly market highly technical digital products and services to a diverse audience that includes plant operators, engineers, and executives.  Omnivise is not a single product—it’s a flexible digital ecosystem built around five core pillars:

iSERA modernizes outdated EHC systems, requiring precise, technically accurate visuals to show its real-world value to engineers, operators, and executives. That’s why traditional marketing wasn’t enough.

Our Solution

Red Rocket Studios delivered a fully integrated ecosystem of video, interactive, and 3D-driven content to support Siemens Energy’s sales, marketing, and product teams across live events and digital platforms. Our seasoned team of digital storytellers rose to the challenge to deliver exactly what Siemens Energy needed! 

1. Omnivise Chouteau Video Series + Proto 

We developed a story-driven video series that brings Omnivise to life through the perspective of a power plant manager showing how Siemens Energy’s digital suite improves real-world, day-to-day plant operations. Each video walks viewers through authentic power plant scenarios, illustrating how the five Omnivise pillars—Performance, Flexibility, Efficiency, Compliance, and Availability—work together to optimize operations. To extend the storytelling into live environments, we deployed the content through our Proto platform, powering Siemens Energy’s interactive booth and demo experiences. Proto enabled immersive, large-format storytelling at global trade shows, allowing audiences to engage directly with the Omnivise ecosystem. RRS handled the entire experience end-to-end, including setup, calibration, and pre-event testing to ensure flawless real-world performance. What the RRS team delivered:

  • Scriptwriting and storyboarding
  • Development of the plant manager character
  • On-camera talent sourcing and coordination
  • Filming specifically designed for Proto’s large-format displays
  • Full-length video edits and social cut-downs
  • Motion graphics, color-coded pillar overlays, and animated logos

RRS also secured rare access to film at an active power plant, capturing real facilities, real crews, and drone footage, which added a critical layer of authenticity and credibility to the content.

2. Omnivise Interactive Touchscreen Experience

To support trade shows and customer meetings, RRS designed and built a fully interactive touchscreen experience from the ground up.  The touchscreen allows users to: 

  • Explore Omnivise from a central hub 
  • Dive into each of the five core pillars 
  • Watch videos and view animated product visuals 
  • Use the experience in both full-size and mobile-optimized formats 

Our team led every aspect of the build, including: 

  • Copywriting 
  • UX wireframing 
  • UI design 
  • Motion graphics 
  • Video integration 
  • Front-end and back-end development 

The result is an intuitive, flexible sales tool that empowers Siemens Energy teams to tailor conversations in real time. 

3. iSERA & EHC 3D Video Series 

To showcase Siemens Energy’s iSERA actuator, we produced a series of highly technical 3D animations explaining how it modernizes traditional electrohydraulic control systems.  This phase was especially complex: 

  • We worked from a limited 3D scan of a real customer’s EHC system 
  • The scan was incomplete, requiring months of troubleshooting and reconstruction 
  • Siemens Energy engineers reviewed and approved every technical detail 

Our team: 

  • Wrote the technical scripts 
  • Prepped, rigged, and textured the 3D models 
  • Created full 3D animations 
  • Added motion graphics, callouts, and explanatory overlays 

The final videos clearly demonstrate how iSERA eliminates the need for: 

  • Hydraulic power units 
  • Phosphate ester fluids 
  • High-risk, high-maintenance legacy systems 

—while significantly improving safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
