During a recent $1.5 billion expansion project, New York City’s Javits Center transformed itself into one of the most sustainable and resilient convention centers in the country by harnessing solar power and microgrid technology. They have the largest single-rooftop solar array in Manhattan and the region’s only indoor battery storage facility. And it was all done with the support of Siemens “Energy as a Service (EaaS)” model.
The Opportunity and Solution:
Siemens had published a comprehensive case study, of the Javits Center’s expansion and was looking for a way to help bring the story to life.
They turned to Red Rocket Studios to produce a video that showcased Siemens’ role in Javits’ sustainability transformation and how buildings can play a role in a clean energy future. The scope of the project included concept development, on-location logistics, facility operations compliance, drone flight coordination, on-site Javits Center management interviews, and full video production and editing.
Leveraging Red Rocket Studios’ full video production capabilities in its Orlando headquarters, the team of creative storytellers, producers, and editors brought the case study to life culminating in branded paid media spot (:15 and :30) and a longer form video featuring Alan Steel, CEO of The Javits Center telling the story in his own words (2:45) video.
