Mitsubishi Power launched Lightbulb Moments to spotlight critical energy industry insights and generate engagement and awareness to build its brand awareness. To achieve this, Mitsubishi Power partnered with Red Rocket Studios to drive visibility, maximize video views, and sustain momentum over a seven-month campaign. 

 

The Goal

From March to September, RRS executed an integrated paid media campaign across YouTube, Google, LinkedIn, and AdRoll programmatic. The goal: reach the right audiences and convert awareness into meaningful video consumption.

The Strategy
  • Prospecting campaigns to introduce the series to new audiences 
  • Retargeting initiatives to re-engage high-intent viewers 
  • Geo-targeted campaigns aligned with major industry events 
  • Ongoing cross-platform optimization to improve performance over time 

As episode timing and channel dynamics shifted, the digital team worked diligently to refine targeting, reallocate budgets, and update creative to maintain campaign performance. 

Creative That Gets Results

Beyond media planning and execution, RRS played a key role in elevating the series.  Our team: 

  • Developed three versions of the series key art 
  • Refined the Lightbulb Moments logo 
  • Shot two full episodes (providing raw footage to an external production partner) 
  • Produced dozens of viral-optimized clips across eight-episode releases 
  • Created and managed numerous static and video ad variations 

Every asset was crafted to capture attention fast and drive viewers toward full episodes, extending the reach of each conversation.

The Impact

Over the course of the campaign, Lightbulb Moments generated significant reach and engagement across platforms: 

  • 34.6 million impressions 
  • 248,628 clicks 
  • 9.47 million video views (full-length episodes and shorts) 
  • $2.79 CPM 
  • Thousands of audience interactions and 317 new YouTube subscribers 

In a niche B2B energy sector where subscriber growth is hard-won, these results established strong brand visibility and meaningful engagement, which created a foundation for continued growth. 

Looking Ahead 

The first season of Lightbulb Moments proved that with strategic media, compelling creative, and ongoing optimization, thought leadership can break through even in the most specialized industries.  For Mitsubishi Power, the series gained real traction.
